How do I buy a car from U-Pull-It?

In just four easy steps you can buy the right to take parts off of a vehicle at U-Pull-It. You are not buying the vehicle itself -- but you are buying the right to take off any part from that vehicle during a 7-hour time frame at our location.

STEP 1: CHOOSE A VEHICLE that has the parts you need from our extensive database.

STEP 2: ORDER using your debit or credit card and give us your contact information.

STEP 3: PAY for the vehicle by confirming your order.

STEP 4: CHOOSE A DATE when you will come and remove the parts.

It's that easy!

You can also visit one of our locations in person. For an admission fee of £1, you will have access to an inventory of up to 1,000 vehicles at each of our locations. Can I look at a vehicle in person?

Do I need to register? How do I become a Copart buyer and receive a 10 percent discount?

You don't need to register to purchase the rights to pull parts off of a vehicle at U-Pull-It. However, if you become a registered buyer on www.Copart.co.uk, you will receive a 10 percent discount on all vehicles on U-Pull-It. You can do so by visiting www.Copart.co.uk and clicking on the blue box that says 'click here for buyer registration.'

How do I pay for a vehicle?

You can pay for a vehicle online, using a debit or credit card. If you come to one of our locations to look at vehicles, you can pay using a debit or credit card, or with cash.

Can I keep the vehicle?

No. You are purchasing the rights to take off all the parts you want from the vehicle you choose at the time you choose. But you can't remove the whole car from our location.

How do I get the parts off the car? What tools will I need? What equipment is provided?

During your 7-hour timeslot, we will have the vehicle waiting for you in a special area and on a stand so you can easily remove the parts you need. We will supply you with a safety vest and a hard hat for you to wear that must be returned before you leave. You will be required to bring your own tools. Only battery operated tools and hand tools are allowed. Power tools, cutting and grinding tools are not allowed on the site. U-Pull-It will also provide wheel barrows and sack trolleys so you can transport your parts to your vehicle.

When can I remove the parts from the vehicle?

On the date of your choice (depending on availability) you will have a 7-hour time period to come in and remove all the parts you want from the vehicle. To view available dates, just visit our Calendar section.

How do I remove the engine or gearbox? Why is there an extra fee to remove the engine or gearbox?

For safety reasons, we are required to remove the engine or gearbox for you ahead of time. If you want either the engine or gearbox, or both, tick the box on the order form before clicking on "Buy It Now." This indicates you have agreed to the additional fee for us to remove these from the vehicle for you. The fee covers our labour for this process. You do not pay extra for the engine or gearbox themselves.

Why do I have to give you the names of people who will take the parts off the car?

This is for your protection, to ensure that only the people you authorize are taking parts off your vehicle. You don't have to list all the names of the people who will be coming to remove parts. However, at least one person who comes to remove parts must be on the list. If you are coming to remove parts, your name is automatically on the list as the buyer.

What happens if I don't know who will be coming to take the parts off the car?

We recommend you put as many names as possible (up to 5) of people that may come to remove the parts to cover your bases. You can also come yourself to remove the parts. Only one person must be on the list to gain access to the vehicle. You can also call the location before you arrive if you have changes to the list, or need to add someone else.

What happens if I have to change my appointment to pull off the parts?

Just contact our location 24-hours before your appointment and we will gladly reschedule for you. If you call later than 24-hours before your appointment, you may be charged a rescheduling fee.

What happens if no-one shows up for my appointment to pull off the parts?

You will be charged a rescheduling fee – which covers the cost of our labour to put your vehicle back in our inventory after pulling it for you to take parts off of it. After paying the fee, you can reschedule another time to come and take parts off the vehicle.

What happens if I change my mind about the vehicle?

All our sales at U-Pull-It are final.

How do I sell my vehicle to U-Pull-It?

You can bring your vehicle to one of our U-Pull-It locations, where we will determine the value of your vehicle and pay you immediately for your vehicle.

How will I get my money if I sell my car to you?

We give you money the moment you bring it in to our location. It's easy and fast!

How do I find a U-Pull-It location, or contact a U-Pull-It location?

You can bring your vehicle to any of our U-Pull-It locations to sell it to us. For the hours of operation, along with the address and phone number of a U-Pull-it location near you, click on locations.

What paperwork do I need to bring with me to sell my vehicle?

The owner of the vehicle should bring the V5 document showing they are the registered keeper and some photo ID (such as a passport or driving license photocard) to confirm their identity.

How much will you pay for my vehicle? How do you determine my vehicle's value?

The amount we pay you for your vehicle varies based on the vehicle year, make, model and condition as well as current salvage prices. However, we will do everything to ensure we are giving you the fairest price possible.
